Returns and refunds

This notice explains how to withdraw from a purchase and how returns work on the DomShop store (DOM vintage wholesale).

The Italian version of this notice is the authoritative one. This translation is provided for convenience; where the two differ, the Italian text prevails.

Right of withdrawal

The consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of delivery of the product, without having to give a reason.

The period runs from the day on which the customer, or a third party designated by the customer, takes physical possession of the goods.

How to exercise it

Withdrawal may be communicated within the period stated above:

  • online, through the withdrawal function available in the My account area, on the page of the relevant order: this is the fastest way and, once completed, you receive a receipt on a durable medium (email) with the date and time it was sent;
  • alternatively, by an explicit written declaration (for example by email to info@domshop.it) or using the withdrawal form indicated at the bottom of this page.

Return shipping costs

The cost of returning the product is borne entirely by the customer. The customer is responsible for the shipment and for any loss of or damage to the goods during transport.

Condition of the returned product

The products sold are second-hand (used) goods and/or one-off pieces. The customer is liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is strictly necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

The product must be returned:

  • intact;
  • complete with every component originally shipped;
  • with no further signs of use compared with delivery.

Conformity check of the return

On receipt of the return, the Seller will carry out a technical and documented check of the contents and the weight of the parcel.

Should:

  • one or more of the items originally shipped be missing;
  • the weight of the parcel be lower than the weight certified at shipping;
  • the product be damaged or altered;

the Seller reserves the right to:

  • withhold an amount proportionate to the diminished value;
  • request payment of the difference in value relating to the missing items;
  • refuse the refund in the event of serious shortfalls.

The diminished value will be quantified on the basis of objective criteria, photographic documentation and the market values applicable at the time of the check.

Refund

The refund will be made within 14 days of receipt of the return, after the product has been checked for integrity and completeness.

The refund may be withheld until the goods are received or until proof of dispatch is provided.

Exclusions

Under art. 59 of the Italian Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal is excluded for goods personalised or modified at the customer's request, where they fall within the cases provided for by law.
